About Our Office
Credentials & Training
Dr. Koogler is a general dentist with advanced training in dental sleep medicine — the specialized field focused on treating obstructive sleep apnea and chronic snoring using non-CPAP solutions like oral appliances. He has completed post-doctoral continuing education in airway-focused dentistry, oral appliance therapy, TMJ and craniofacial pain, and sleep-disordered breathing.
He stays at the forefront of his field through ongoing clinical training, collaboration with sleep physicians, and participation in professional networks that are shaping the future of integrative sleep care.
“Sleep medicine is evolving quickly — and I believe dentists have an important role in expanding access to care and improving quality of life.”
Why Sleep Dentistry?
Dr. Koogler was drawn to sleep dentistry because of how life-changing it can be. Sleep disorders often go undiagnosed — yet they impact everything from blood pressure and heart health to mood, energy, and focus. As a dentist, he saw firsthand how oral structures and jaw alignment contribute to airway collapse and poor sleep quality.
With a strong background in both clinical dentistry and whole-patient care, he became passionate about helping patients find alternatives to CPAP, get properly diagnosed, and finally get a good night’s sleep — often for the first time in years.
“This work is deeply rewarding. When a patient comes back and says, ‘I haven’t felt this good in decades,’ you know you’re doing something meaningful.”
Patient-First Philosophy
Washington Center for Sleep was built with one purpose: to make sleep apnea diagnosis and treatment easier, more personal, and more accessible for real people.
Dr. Koogler believes in slowing down, listening to patients, and helping them understand their options without pressure. Whether it’s your first sleep study or you’ve already tried CPAP, his team meets you where you are — and helps you move forward.
That means:
No unnecessary appointments
Transparent pricing and insurance support
Honest communication, every step of the way
“We believe patients deserve answers, not obstacles — and we’re here to guide you to real, lasting solutions.”

Simple, Comfortable Home Testing
We offer home sleep testing that’s accurate, convenient, and often covered by insurance. No overnight lab stay, no waiting months for a referral — just fast answers and real solutions.
Proven CPAP Alternatives
Tired of CPAP? You’re not alone. We offer FDA-approved oral appliances and NightLase® laser therapy to help you breathe better and sleep more soundly — without a machine.
